Στο Royal Albert Hall του Λονδίνου έγιναν και φέτος τα Βραβεία Κινηματογράφου BAFTA 2022. Η λαμπερή τελετή πραγματοποιήθηκε στον απόηχο του πολέμου στην Ουκρανία, με τη συμπαράσταση στην χώρα να αποτελεί το μεγάλο σύνθημα της βραδιάς.
Μάλιστα, ο Benedict Cumberbatch ήταν μεταξύ εκείνων που φορούσαν κονκάρδα ή φιόγκο με τα χρώματα της σημαίας της χώρας, καθώς όπως δήλωσε «είναι θέμα αλληλεγγύης».
Μετά από δύο χρόνια, οι μεγάλοι σταρ του Hollywood περπάτησαν ξανά στο κόκκινο χαλί και έκαναν εντυπωσιακές εμφανίσεις. (Δες εδώ τις καλύτερες). Παρουσιάστρια της μεγάλης βραδιάς φέτος ήταν η ηθοποιός Rebel Wilson, η οποία έλαμπε στη σκηνή μετά την απώλεια των κιλών της.

Η πιο πολυβραβευμένη ταινία της βραδιάς ήταν το «Dune» με πέντε βραβεία, ενώ βραβεία κέρδισαν και το «Μετά την Αγάπη» που επικράτησε στον Α’ Γυναικείο Ρόλο με τη συγκλονιστική Τζοάνα Σκάνλαν και το «No Time to Die» και το «CODA» (με δύο βραβεία και ιστορική νίκη του Τρόι Κότσουρ, ως πρώτου κωφού ηθοποιού που κερδίζει βραβείο BAFTA) και το «Πίτσα Γλυκόριζα» και το «West Side Story» με δύο βραβεία και το «Cruella» και η «Μέθοδος των Γουίλιαμς» και το «Encanto» και το «Drive my Car».
